hi,new member here in the south east of ireland, having been reading this forum for about the last four months or so i am seriously considering buying a 1200 sport ,the bike looks fantastic, and i think would suit my riding style i am selling my current ride at the moment and drove up to what i think is the only motto guzzi dealer in the republic,i would like to know if any one on this forum has every had dealings with this shop which is based in dublin as i have read on here that motto guzzi ownership goes hand in hand with a good dealership also having read about the 4 valve issues on the new sport i was wondering have these been sorted out yet as i would hopefully be in a position to buy a 4v sport in january, any advice or guidence would be appreciated

I can't help with an opinion on the Dublin dealer. But after reading the road test of the new Stelvio NTX in this month's Motorcycle Sport and Leisure magazine, I have a sneaky suspicion that there might be some tweaks to the 1200 Sport 4V engine some time soon. According to the writer, the changes made by Aprilia have made quite a difference to the torque curve, with much more go at lower revs.

Jude - welcome.

Sorry no idea on your dealer in Ireland. Re the 4v issues I think you just have to be sure the recall work has been done, or find out when the bike arrived from Italy - I think anything after around March will have everything sorted at the factory..... or go for the tried and tested 2v option, which (if available) will be cheaper
